Thrown out like trash - How dare they!
My mom used to have a really awesome Australian Cattle Dog / Blue Heeler named Cody. Unfortunately, he passed away at 11 yrs old due to cancer. A couple months afterwards, she met some awesome people from Richmond County Animal Shelter at Pop Up In The Pines Market (Hatchet Brewery in Southern Pines) She followed their facebook page and one day saw a blue heeler!
When she arrived to see this doggie, they let her know that her owners had actually called in to claim her! She had been lost for some time. What a lucky dog and what a lucky thing for me!
One of the shelter volunteers told my family that they had a puppy that they *might* like. Might...hahahaha
Of course it was love at first lick! My family could tell how awesome I was right away. They especially loved how I carried around a horsey toy 3 times my size! When my mom asked if I was a stray or an owner surrender, she was told that I was thrown out on the highway from a moving vehicle. How rude!
My kids and mom brought me home that day and I got to meet my Daddy dog, Buddy. He sure missed Cody and was so happy that he did backflips! I love my family 💖
